Interchangeable elements: Cylindrical roller bearings have separable components of similar size and this facilitates easy interchangeability. You can easily mount any ring with the roller if it is of the same internal clearance class. Cylindrical bearings, unlike the spherical plain bearings, cannot handle misalignment; instead they can reduce it. Similarly, they can reduce the chances of shaft deflection and cannot handle it like that done by a spherical ball bearing.
